Located in Wenona, a small town in central Illinois just off Interstate 39, Hart of Wenona features golden oak woodwork, stained glass windows, and period antiques. Enjoy our large wrap-around porch, a window to the world of life in small-town America.

Your hostess, a high school English teacher, has traveled on various occasions to Europe and welcomes lively conversation around the breakfast table. She has traveled to Sweden to research her family history. She spent two weeks in Concord, Massachusetts where she was one of twenty high school teachers who participated in the Thoreau Institute's seminar, "Thoreau's World and Ours." Walden Pond remains a powerful symbol of the need to preserve our natural environment.

Hart of Wenona is available for rental for special events, such as bridal showers, seminars, meetings, etc. It is lavishly decorated for the Christmas holiday season.

Conveniently located just off Interstate 39, Hart of Wenona is 40 miles north of Bloomington-Normal, 22 miles south of La Salle-Peru, and 45 miles northeast of Peoria.
