Circa 1840-1860's, this peaceful, easy feeling inn is a typical middle-class clapboard with "gingerbready" front porch. Located only one block from the restored Whitewater Canal. Casual, cozy guestrooms are furnished with antiques and country touches. No in-room telephone, television, radio, or alarm clock to interrupt your relaxation.

Enjoy a hearty breakfast before exploring over 100 shoppes, galleries, and museums in this quaint historic village, listed on the National Register. Three gift shoppes are on the premises.

Family-style dining room is open to the public. Named as a "favorite down-home breakfast spot" by readers of Midwest Living magazine! The Thorpe House Country Inn has been featured in Recommended Country Inns (Midwest), Chicago Sun Times, the Official Guide to American Historic Inns.
