Enjoy the awakening of spring with a stroll through the cottage style flower and herb gardens. Inhale the spicy fragrance of chocolate and orange mint and the sweet smell of lavender. Wander into 60 acre prairie where the sky blue flax waves in the cool morning breeze. The robins and house wrens have returned. Warm summer breezes are filled with the intoxicating fragrance of cinnamon basil and rosemary. The prairie is brighter now with the perky yellow black-eyed susans and the flashy indian blankets. The waving fields of golden wheat ripen in the sunshine. A good time to sit on the porch, reflect on the day and watch the fireflies.

These summer days are soon replaced with frosty mornings and the lazy warm afternoons of fall. Listen as the wild pheasants crow to claim their territory and the young coyotes howl to one another as the pumpkin orange sun settles on the western horizon. The herbs have been gathered and hung from the rafters to dry and the prairie grasses have turned to bronze. A good time to relax in the hot tub or retreat to the warmth of the crackling fire, and cuddle a mug of steaming hot chocolate or herbal tea. The stars are so bright in the crystal clear night you can almost reach up and touch them.
