Give yourself a treat and enjoy the peace and quiet that abounds in the Northwoods. Friar's Tuckaway Bed & Breakfast is located in the center of Wisconsin Northwoods, 20 minutes north of Minocqua on Hwy. 51. There is 200 ft. of lake frontage on Little Star Lake which is one of a ten-lake chain. Friar's Tuckaway is centrally located for all seasonal sport and other activities including shopping & fine dining.

The house, originally a private home, has been completely remodeled to accommodate the Bed & Breakfast. The bedrooms are tastefully decorated with handmade quilts, cross stitch hangings, and photographs of the surrounding area. The Fireside Room, furnished with a small refrigerator, a microwave and a TV, is reserved for the guests to read, relax and enjoy the warmth of the fireplace.

A full gourmet breakfast is served in the Fireside Room where the view of the lake is breathtaking. Guests are frequently entertained by the various birds including eagles and maybe a pileated woodpecker. From the large screen porch guests can see the white sand beach & beautiful Little Star Lake.

Satisfy your appetite . . .upon arrival with snacks, fresh baked cookies, drinks or maybe a glass of wine awaits your pleasure. A full breakfast will be made to fit your diet needs upon request. Delicious cranberry dishes are regional specialities at the Friar's Tuckaway B&B. Beinets are also one the guest's favorite breakfast items.
