impsons
of Potts Point in Sydney is a small, luxurious, historical hotel offering
a fine example of restored architectural heritage and contemporary comfort
in the quietest of urban surroundings. Built as the family residence of
a member of the New South Wales Parliament,
Simpsons was designed in 1892 by leading Sydney architect, John Bede Barlow.
The glory of this house has been recaptured in the imaginative restoration
providing large, spacious rooms, grand halls and stained glass windows,
enhanced by a unique range of decorations from the period, including prints
and friezes of Australian flora.
All rooms and suites
are individually air conditioned (as well as having ceiling fans). All
have individual bathrooms, and are furnished with superb decorative
detail, scented soaps, shampoos and conditioners.
Breakfast
is served in our delightfully sunny conservatory - fresh orange juice,
fresh fruit salad, compote of fruit, cereals, yogurt, croissants, English
muffins and toast with conserves, unlimited fresh plunger coffee and
a selection of imported teas. Complimentary tea and coffee is also available
throughout the day in the conservatory.
We are situated
in leafy Potts Point, with its plethora of excellent restaurants, and
an easy stroll to the Botanic Gardens. Within a five minute taxi ride
lies the heart of Sydney, with the Opera House, Art Gallery, the historic
Rocks area and Circular Quay on the foreshores of world renowned Sydney
Harbour.
Simpsons is a unique
hotel and we invite you to share it with us. Our promise is to provide
you with elegant hospitality, pleasant surroundings and one of Sydney's
most convenient locations.
We look forward
