A boat under sail reaches into the west wind; a fishboat chugs north with a load of fresh salmon. Gentle music soothes you as you enter your cottage. You touch a match to the wood fire and settle into a comfy chair with a glass of golden sherry or a cup of freshly-brewed English tea. The waves lap at your door.

River Run Cottages and Breakfast is located on the Fraser River delta at the historic village of Ladner, British Columbia, 15 minutes south of Vancouver, ten minutes to the Victoria and Gulf Island Ferries, twenty minutes to Vancouver Airport.

The quaint town of Ladner is a ten minute walk along the dike where you fill find interesting shops and a variety of restaurants. Guests are welcomed to use a two person kayak for trips around the Fraser River Estuary or explore by land on bicycles that are available. The local area is a farming community with fresh produce. Pick your own berries and walk through the pumpkin patches that are seasonally available. A year-round highlight is the Reifel Bird Sanctuary - home of over 200 bird species.

On the water, you'll find the Waterlily, an exquisitely crafted floating cottage complete with it's own woodstove and private river level deck. Nestled on the rivers edge are three exceptional cottages each boasting beautifully private water front garden decks and woodstoves. The Netloft is a two level cottage with a Japanese soaking tub on its private deck outside under stars. The Northwest room features a magnificent river rock waterfall shower and dozens of hanging flower baskets seen from every window. The Keepers quarters with its cozy woodstove and outstanding driftwood bed has a bathroom offering a relaxing two person Jacuzzi tub.

A gourmet breakfast is delivered to the cottage every morning with fresh squeezed juice, coffee and tea, home-baked muffins warm from the oven and a special entree that changes daily.
