Minutes away are the world's highest tides (Bay of Fundy), the Lookoff, Cape Split hiking, Hall's Harbour, Blomidon Park, Acadia University and the Atlantic Theatre Festival. The Farmhouse Inn Bed & Breakfast fronts Main Street and sits on a gentle knoll shaded by giant maples. A stately bay window and fireplace grace the parlour˜ a cozy, homey room just right for afternoon tea, late night chats around a crackling fire, or enjoying a good book or magazine. Our famous "Early Bird Room Service" provides complimentary coffee, tea or juice to your door each morning. Our complimentary full, hot breakfasts are served amidst flowers and good music in our country-elegant dining room, which features a pressed tin ceiling and wide pine floors.

All guest bedrooms and suites have ensuite bathrooms and cable TV; most have a 2-person whirlpool tub and/or fireplace, VCR and air-conditioning. Hand-made quilts add colourful down-home charm. Beds include "cannonball" pine kings, queens and twins.

Located on Route 358, just over an hour north-west of Halifax and 70 minutes west of Halifax International airport, we are also just a 3-hour drive from the Yarmouth, Nova Scotia ferry terminal for guests arriving by sea from either Portland or Bar Harbour, Maine.
