Experience the beauty of the rolling pastures, woodlands and waterfront, wander down to the dock and watch the sun rise over the ocean, take your boat out to some of the 365 Islands in Mahone Bay, or stroll through 50 acres of trails in the surrounding woodlands and enjoy nature at her finest. Unwind
at the end of the day sitting on the guest veranda, watching the animals
grazing, the eagles flying overhead, or the osprey fishing in the tidal
waters off our dock. The evenings peacefulness is Wake up to special, full, gourmet breakfast in our formal guest dining room. Your meal will be served on fine china in a setting of beautiful linens, fresh flowers and candlelight. Everything is homemade! Countryside guests tend to linger at the table, visiting with us and fellow guests and enjoying that final cup of coffee or tea. By the time you leave for the day, lunch is often redundant! Wild pheasant, deer
and nature trails abound. Our newest addition are peacocks...just reaching
maturity this spring and we expect some sweet young chicks by summer.
Our llamas and alpacas are expecting, and every spring is greeted with
the arrival of frolicking lambs. Our llamas are Guard Dogs for our sheep
and alpacas. They adopt each new lamb or cria (a baby alpaca) as a member
of their herd and will Our home is filled with antiques, collectibles, nautical relics, and each room has original works of art. We specialize in Romantic Getaways and are noted for our full Gourmet Candlelight Breakfasts. We have a lovely guest parlour, full of comfortable sofas, antiques and an ornate Victorian organ. A large supply of reading materiel is available....much of it is on Nova Scotia. Enjoy visiting the Langille family General Store Museum (this store has been a part of our farm for close to 150 years....and we have only recently renovated and restored it) We will eventually sell fibre and fibre products from the farm. We invite you to learn proper "Alpaca and Llama Etiquette", and visit with these amazing, friendly animals. No visit is complete without a visit with "Bruster the Rooster", your friendly morning Alarm Clock! Countryside is our little piece of Paradise and we invite you to come visit! We have 3 Guest Rooms: The Victorian Rose Room ...decorated in a Romantic Roses and Lace Theme...has a queen bed, ensuite bath, loveseat, TV/VCR/movies, desk etc. and of course an endless supply of amenities...including fluffy bathrobes, toiletries and hair dryer + a 3 pc ensuite bath. The Country Gardens Room...a blissful romantic garden retreat theme with stenciled ivy over the doors and heritage lace and ivy over the windows. Has a beautiful King bed with an Ornate Cherry headboard. Victorian Chaize Lounge, TV/VCR, desk, chairs, stationery, bathrobes, and endless amenities and toiletries plus a 3 pc ensuite bath. The Hearts Desire Suite: our 2 room honeymoon....romantic getaway suite....has an antique queen bedroom, and a private parlour with sofas, a hideabed, TV/VCR, desk, bathrobes, amenities etc. and a 4 pc ensuite bath, including a new 2 person hydro-massage tub for the ultimate in bathing experiences. All rooms have Ice Buckets, stemware, ice is available as are irons and ironing boards.
