he Manor offers a variety of tastefully decorated rooms all with private
showers, TV's and refrigerators. There are two living rooms one quiet
room I call the "Parlor" for reading, writing letters or conversing.

On the lower level you may use at your convenience a heated wave pool,
hot tub or sauna. Towels and robes are supplied. On rainy days there
is a regulation size shuffleboard table and dartboard for your use.
Throughout
the Manor you can view the many antiques, stained glass windows and
beautiful original oil lamps also John has a vast Poison bottle collection
on display
in several show cases. Many rare bottles especially in cobalt blue the
most popular color in poison.
Included is a full breakfast served either inside or on the deck, both
confidently have a view of the lake. The breakfast consists of fresh
fruit (in season) juices, cereals, toasted breads and freshly baked
muffins and bagels. Those who prefer a cooked meal of ham, bacon, sausage
with eggs cooked to your choice. Top off your breakfast with a sweet
cinnamon bun with unlimited English breakfast teas, regular or decaffeinated
coffee or hot chocolate.
Just 5 minutes from downtown Port Dover where one can enjoy the many
restaurants serving "Lake Erie Perch". Relax on the pier and watch the
fish tugs or cast your own line. Charters are also available.
Our Lighthouse Festival Theater presents line professional theater during
the summer months. The theater is located in the old Town Hall on Main
Street.
The Harbor Museum displays explain the history of the fishing industry
of Port Dover.
July 1st has been celebrated since Canada was formed in 1867 with a
large street parade, Fishing Tug parade and a band tattoo in the evening,
ending with a display of fireworks. The whole town participates and
entertains several thousand visitors each year.
The third weekend in July is Fish Fest Weekend where the entire town's
events, bands, races, etc. congregate on the waterfront area to celebrate
Port Dover in the summer.
The third weekend in August is Summer Festival where one can enjoy the
antiques and arts and crafts on sale in Powell Park. Vendors came from
all over South Western Ontario to display their home made wares.
There are four popular golf courses, all within a ten-minute drive.
They are Pine Valley golf club, Turkey Point Golf Club, Nanticoke Golf
and Country Club and Lynn Meadows Golf and Country Club.
Also for the nature enthusiast there is the Lynn Valley trail, an 8Km
walk from Port Dover to Simcoe. You'll see 4 trestle bridges, historic
trail links to Indian and Pioneer travel, Carolinian flora and fauna.
For the cyclist a map is provided with ten routes taking you through
Norfolk County.
Best of all you are near the sandy beach, the shopping area and the
many local restaurants that serve the "Catch of the Day".
