Albert Pimblett's Toronto Bed and Breakfast

The owner, Geoffrey Pimblett, is very much like John Cleese and Albert Pimblett's Toronto Bed & Breakfast is a veritable 'FAWLTY TOWERS'. Also known as 'The End House' this 1860's home is located Right Down Town Toronto in the historical area known as 'Cabbaagetown'. Restored to provide all mod-cons and comforts, modern plumbing, central heating, air conditioning and a conversion from gas to electric lighting. Most of the old world charm has been retained:

• The Victorian kitchen with coke oven, washer and mangle.
• The Walnut Panelled Breakfast room displaying the owners tea pot collection.
• The Library with British and American literature, mahogony fireplace and more tea pots.
• The Front Hall with a resplendent French ormalou chrystal chandalier and an 1890s Jaques and Hayse coat stand, and dinner gong.
• Each bedroom has its own charm, using many out of print wallpapers and certainly out of date furnishings.

2nd Floor Bedrooms

The Agatha Cristie Room is supplied with volumes and volumes of the mystery writers' books. This room has a Double Bed and enjoys its own private bathroom . There is a secret conecting door through the closet that connects with the Queen Mothers' Front Parlour. $75 single, $95 double per night.

The Queen Mothers Front Parlour is of course equipped with a Queen Size Four Poster Bed and comfy wing back chairs in front of a working fireplace. Whilst this is the largest room in the house, one has to share a bathroom down the corridor. $65 single, $85 double per night.

The Butlers' Back Bedroom. 'Jeeves' was a large man and required a Queen size bed. He insisted on his own private bathroom and enjoyed the view of the back yard. $75 single, $95 double per night.

3rd Floor Bedroom (stairs only for the young and agile)

The Bewdley Room (the Honeymoon Suite) for lovers is equipped with a King sized bed. Decorated in early 70s 'Camp' with orange shag rug, quaint vanity and a 5' Jacuzzi in the private bathroom. $85 single, $105 double per night.

This favourite back yard is now being landscaped as an English Garden complete with pond and gold fish.

Full English Breakfast is served with cereal, porridge, kippers or bacon sausages and eggs, toast and special jams. Freshly ground and perked coffee, Twinings Earl Grey tea or Darjeeling from your choice of tea pot, fruit juices are also available.
