njoy one of the most scenic "Inn" locations on the island. The Beach House Inn is an upscale 4 Star Inn with spectacular views of the ocean, Cavendish sand dunes and a

coastal lighthouse. Relax on a deck in the moonlight or take a three minute stroll down the Cape Road to a quiet beach, one of dozens that stretch across the north shore.

The seven rooms of our boutique style inn all have private baths (six ensuite) and six have decks. Our reasonable prices include a scrumptious breakfast on the sunporch overlooking the water and on occasion we offer candlelight dinners by reservation. There are bikes, beach chairs, picnic lunches and you can walk to the golf course, the Cape lighthouse and nearby fishing harbors. One of our best features is that we're 2 miles off the highway and guests can sit under the 90-yr-old Linden trees or on a sunny deck and read a book or share a drink in peace and quiet.

The Beach House is owned by a professional photographer and artwork is displayed throughout the tastefully decorated rooms. One guest was so taken by the Inn's contemporary style she offered to swap her estate, in the south of France, for a month at The Beach House. Our American guests call PEI the Cape Cod of the 50s. Some call French River the French Riviera. We call it the prettiest part of the island.

Sit in a big red tub and watch the early morning lobster boats slip out of the bay, past the pink sand dunes of Cavendish beach.
There are several excellent golf courses within minutes of the Beach House. We are located between a provincial and national park and both areas feature great beaches for swimming, nature trails, picnic areas and playgrounds. They are part of a chain of beaches that stretch for miles along our coast.
Visit one of the famous "Ann of Green Gables" sites. The Beach House is in the middle of Ann's Land, close to them all.
Stop at a nearby oyster bar for seafood treats.
Join a sea captain for a deep-sea fishing trip. Let us arrange an outing so you can try your hand at catching mackerel.
Sunshine breakfasts on the porch are a delight. Home made waffles with sweet island strawberries, omelets with local cheeses and ham, bowl-shaped German pancakes filled with fresh fruit, nuts and yogurt, are a few of our morning offerings.
After a day at the beach, visit the Beach House library and browse for a book or select a movie or a cd from our fine collection.
