FRUIT KUCHEN

Ingredients

  • 1/4 pound butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cup fruit of choice

Directions

    Preheat oven to 350. Place the butter in 8x8x2" glass baking pan and melt in preheated oven (do not brown). Stir dry ingredients together and add milk, stir only until fully mixed and scrape into melted butter and smooth out evenly. Top this with fruit of choice and bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 35 minutes. Let cool slightly, cut and serve. (Serves 4. Double this recipe for a 9x13 pan).
