Appropriately named, the Inn sits on a hill once surrounded by apple trees at the base of Wilson Mountain. Now the orchards are gone, but the Inn remains surrounded by Sedona's majestic red rock landscape and hiking trails directly accessible from the property. The story goes that old man Wilson was a caretaker in the Jordan apple orchards. One day he went up the mountain to track a grizzly bear. Unfortunately, the bear found Wilson first. Today the bears are also gone, but the mountain remains along with the trail Wilson followed, waiting for you to come and hike it.
