Osmer D. Heritage Inn

he Osmer D. Heritage Inn is a beautifully restored 1890 two-story brick home, including carriage house and grainary (now the Honeymoon Suite) and Spa Room (for eight). Surrounded by many old trees, fir trees, apple trees, pear trees and cherry trees, landscaped with flowers, a rose garden, and other shrubs. Rooms are all decorated with antique furniture and fixtures.

Each room has its own bath/shower, gas log fireplaces, refrigeration units, color TV with satellite channels, phones, and Internet line. Breakfasts are superb; the specialty is "German Babies", an egg dish, cooked in the oven, topped with fresh lemon juice and powered sugar. Other choices are omelets, hot cakes or waffles, and eggs (how you like them) served with bacon or sausage. Included is a large fresh fruit plate with homemade sweetbreads. Friday and Saturday meals are specialty dinners by request only.

Nearby the inn you will find a 27-hole golf course, antique store and boutiques. There are over six restored homes that open for tours Tuesday through Saturday, all are within walking distance. Nature walks, (see beavers, eagles and Indian petroglyphs) Horse rides available as well as hunting, fishing, snow skiing and casino nearby.
