Bed and Breakfast Inns of North Americaainbow's End Bed & Breakfast represents a dream-come-true for your hosts, Elen and Charlie Kentnor. We can now offer to others the vacation experience we always sought, but was so hard to find. For years we hunted a holiday spot offering charm, history, a comfortable bedroom with bath, tucked into a beautiful piece of country, having ideal weather (of course), where public lands wereRainbow's End Bed and Breakfast accessible. Plus, we wanted to bring our own horses. Not an easy feat! So, we bought the perfect spot and created our own special place.

Rainbow's End Bed & Breakfast takes you back to a less hectic time. The old ranch manager's home on our historic property has been renovated into a four bedroom/four bath B&B. We've decorated with antiques and period pieces. Somewhat unique among B&Bs, ours is a separate guest house. Our resident guests have a living/dining/kitchen great room, complete with a fireplace and two patios all to themselves. We live nearby in another historic home on the property. Our bucolic setting has grassland and mountain views, yet is on the very edge of Sonoita with it's restaurants, shops and proximity to area attractions.

Rainbow's End Gaited Horses, our horse breeding operation is located on the property, as well. For guests who would like to bring their own horses we have available a 17 (12'x12') stall barn, each stall with a 100' Rainbow's End Bed and Breakfastrun and an automatic waterer.

Sonoita, Arizona is ideal country for the outdoor enthusiast. We experience all four seasons, but our summers are significantly cooler than Tucson, between 10-20 degrees. Just about ideal, year-round. We are located on a 5,000' grassland plateau, nestled amongst 20+ mountain ranges, just 45 miles southeast of Tucson. We're surrounded by public lands -- Coronado National Forest, BLM and State. This is where cowboy movies are made and TV series filmed. The countryside offers a variety of gorgeous landscapes, from mountain canyons, to mesquite and oak dotted rolling hills, to the vast grassland valley floor with meandering creek beds. The Arizona Trail runs through this magnificent country, making for absolutely awesome hiking, biking and horseback riding opportunities.

In addition to claiming 12 months for enjoying outdoor activities, the area offers plenty more. We are located on a major bird migratory fly path with four major riparian reserves nearby--Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve, The Nature Conservancy's Ramsey Canyon, Madera Canyon and The San Pedro River Preserve. Our own 64 acre property has well over 100 mature trees. We have resident Roadrunners, Quail, Owls and Rainbow's End Bed and BreakfastHawks, plus dozens more species, both passing through and living year-round on our land.

For touring the sites of southeastern Arizona, we're conveniently located, as well. We think of ourselves as being rural, but not remote. We're an hour's drive from each Tucson and Tubac, so one can easily take in their sites, shops and activities day tripping. The historic towns of Tombstone and Bisbee are easily toured together in a single day. Kartchner Caverns is 30 miles northeast. Saguaro National Park (Ea.) and Colossal Cave are each within 35 miles. For a fun, ethnic sojourn, Nogales, Sonora, Mexico is 30 miles to the south. The town of Elgin, just down the road, is the center of Arizona Wine Country. Our own County Fairgrounds, practically next door, hosts a number of events, including horse races, horse shows and rodeos. Or just kick off your boots, put your feet up on the porch rail, relax, enjoy the peace and quite, and savor an always memorable Arizona sunset.
