The Baywood B&B Inn is located on scenic Morro Bay on the central California coastline, about 200 miles north of Los Angeles and ten miles west of San Luis Obispo. It is situated in a small neighborhood known as Baywood Park, a tiny peninsula that projects out into Morro Bay. The area consists of many homes, some retail shops and several popular restaurants. The inn is on the bay across from a small boat pier and close to shopping, kayaking, canoeing, sailing, fishing, golfing, hiking, bicycling and picnicking. Montana De Oro State Park, Morro Bay Bird Sanctuary, Morro Bay Natural History Museum, San Luis Obispo and William Randolph Hearst Castle are minutes away.
The inn features fifteen highly decorated "theme" suites all oriented towards the bay. Each suite is named for it's decor -- Kensington, Williamsburg, Manhattan, California Beach, Americana, etc. All have bay views, cozy seating areas, wood-burning fireplaces and private baths. A popular event is the evening room tour which allows guests to view the various decor of the inn. Guests are treated to afternoon wine, cheese and hors d'oeuvres.
The inn's cafe delivers full breakfasts to each room, in bed if preferred. In addition, the WaterSide Cafe at the inn offers lunch and dinner for guests and the public. Los Angeles magazine, November, 1992 calls Baywood B&B Inn "The best romantic inn within 200 miles of L.A." The American Bed & Breakfast Association rates the inn three-diamonds.
