he Secret Garden is one
of Santa Barbara's oldest inns, formerly called the Blue Quail. The
inn consists of a main house and four cottages set in a lush jasmine,
jacaranda and camellia filled
garden. The intertwined branches of the persimmon, avocado and pecan
trees combined with the high hedges and private lawns add to the secrecy
of the garden while hummingbirds, blue jays and the trickle of fountains
add peace and tranquility.
All
nine rooms and cottages have private bathrooms with showers, some having
old fashion claw footed bath tubs and decks with outdoor hot tubs.
Breakfast is a buffet of delicious French specialties, you can eat beneath the persimmon tree on the brick patio or in the privacy of your room.
Many fine restaurants, shops and sights of Santa Barbara are just a short stroll or a quick bike ride from the inn. The Santa Barbara Mission and many other historical buildings are just a few blocks away.
