oin us for a relaxing change of pace or a romantic getaway at the Old Thyme Inn, a charming Queen Anne Victorian built in 1899. A fragrant English herb garden with
over 50 varieties of herbs and flowers provides a tranquil setting for guests in the coastal village of Half Moon Bay.
The fully restored Inn and the seven guest rooms take their names from herbs-Thyme, Rosemary, Mint, Lavender, Chamomile, Oregano and the Garden Room. All the rooms are unique with a queen bed, lovely antiques, fresh cut flowers and a private bath. Cozy fireplaces and/or luxurious two person whirlpool tubs are available in four 
guest rooms. Three rooms have old fashioned claw-foot tubs. The Garden Room, with a private entrance off the herb garden, offers the perfect romantic hideaway with a four poster canopy bed, fireplace, double size whirlpool tub, TV, VCR, stereo and refrigerator.
The atmosphere of the Inn is friendly and informal. The parlor is the center of activity where a delicious breakfast is served each morning. Furnished in antiques and fine art, the parlor offers interesting reading material, games, playing cards, sherry, white wine and candies for all to enjoy. Innkeepers Rick
and Kathy Ellis will greet you with warm hospitality and provide any assistance you need to make your visit most enjoyable.
A typical full breakfast starts with a selection of teas or fresh-ground gourmet coffee, fruit juice and fresh fruit (example: fresh pineapple, strawberry and kiwi fruit cup) and may include orange-pecan French toast, chille rellenos, featherbed eggs, cherry blintzes, scrambled egg stuffed tortilla with salsa, eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes, or Belgian waffles with a variety of toppings. Breakfast will be complimented by home-baked bread, delicious muffin creations (maple-bran, cranberry, and ginger are perennial favorites), 
scones, or Kathy's celebrated rosemary-lemon or banana-coconut crumb cake and garnished with flowers and herbs from our garden. Truly a wonderful way to start your day of play in Half Moon Bay.
Within a short walk of the Inn are dramatic beaches, fascinating shops, art galleries and fine restaurants. Tee-off at two championship 18-hole golf courses, with spectacular ocean views, minutes from the Inn. There is no scarcity of interesting things to see and do here and nearby.
