area. THE EMILY AYN ROOM- Is a large
room with its exposed original gunstock posts and wide floor boards
makes you feel like you have step back into time. It features a quilt
cover sleigh bed and a comfortable sitting area.
THE TRAVELERS ROOM- Wake up each morning to a hearty country breakfast served by candlelight in front of the large original open hearth fireplace in the Keeping Room. This room has wonderful old paneling and wide floor boards. Enjoy an informal afternoon tea with freshly baked cookies. Take you tea into our sunny library that is full of books, magazines, games, and puzzles for our guest enjoyment. We also offer a TV in the library. Or, take you tea on the porch, relax on our swing or sit on the benches and watch the many species of birds flying by. Wander around the 5 acres of property. Enjoy the gardens, cattail marshes, and woodlands. Read a book on one of the benches scatters about the lawn and gardens or take a nap in our hammock. Hike on our easy trail running through the marsh and go bird watching into the fields surrounding the property. Yet, only minutes away are Mystic with the popular tourist attractions of Mystic Seaport, and Mystic Aquarium. Stonington Village a quaint old whaling port which features old sea captain homes, wonderful small shops and a lighthouse museum is within a few minute drive. If you want to just spend the day at the beach Westerly, Rhode Island with its acclaimed beaches is only a ten minute drive away. Or, if you want to try your luck at the casinos both Foxwoods and the Mohegan Sun are within a short drive. Spend the day hiking or biking in the beautiful countryside. Visit the two local wineries and enjoy a special dinner at one of the many great restaurants in the area. Return at the end of the day to a comfortable bed for a restful night sleep at the inn.
