wann House was designed and built in 1883 in grand Richardson Romanesque style by Walter Paris, an architect in service to the British Crown and famous Washington watercolorist. Enter through an expansive arched front porch and feel the ambiance created by 12-foot ceilings outfitted in 18-inch crown moldings. Fluted woodwork, inlaid wood floors, crystal chandeliers, and elaborate mantels enhance the elegance of this fine mansion. Open, airy spaces invite entertaining. Through three sets of French doors, a sunroom with a wet bar overlooks the lush private garden and pool.

Located on a prominent corner in the Dupont Circle historic district, The Swann House sits amid dozens of colorful shops, restaurants and art galleries. We are perfectly located just a few blocks from the Dupont Circle Metro Station. You will find it is just a 20 minute walk to the White House and many of Washington's most famous landmarks. Because of its proximity to the heart of downtown Washington, Swann House caters to the business client, for lodging as well as corporate meetings, retreats, luncheons, receptions and social entertaining. The lively neighborhoods of Georgetown and Adams Morgan are nearby.

Business travelers will find a phone in every room, as well as a fax and copier on premises. Beautiful private Conference Rooms with voice mail and data port are available for rent by the hour or by the day, by appointment.
