many varieties of trees, the quiet aura sets The Ann Stevens House a world apart from today's fast pace.
As you enter the Inn you have an almost perceptible feeling of people and times gone by. Each of the 10 guest rooms has its own distinctive style and a private bath, some with Jacuzzis and most with a private, screened porch. Enjoy your first cup of morning coffee on the porch or in the courtyard gardens as the sun peeks through the forest to the east. A full country breakfast is served at 9:00 a.m.
Bring a book and enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the Victorian
gazebo. You will want to sit a spell on one of the porches, where, if it rains
you are treated to the "tin roof symphony." At the end of the day, guests gather in 
"Sherlock's," an English styled pub room.
If you want to sample some of the activities that bring folks from all over the world to Central Florida, your choices are many: Bike ride or walk on country lanes or village side streets. Cassadaga, a village world renown as a center for psychics and mediums is nearby. Lake Helen has a Historic District with turn of the century homes, churches and antique shops. Victoria Park, the new St. Joe Corporation community is only two miles away. DeLand, only seven miles away, has an old fashioned downtown area with antique and gift shops, art galleries, book stores, museums, restaurants and Stetson University.
Fun in the sun is only minutes away at New Smyrna Beach, Daytona Beach, several state parks and a national wildlife preservation area. Orlando theme parks are about an hour away.
