Bed and Breakfast Inns of North America

Calhoun Street Inn B&B

Tallahassee, Florida

Located downtown in the Calhoun Street Historic District this B&B is surounded by 19th and early 20th-century homes renovated for office and residential use. For gathering with family and friends there is a livingroom with cable TV, wrap-around front porch, and back deck overlooking the garden. Guests can choose the time for breakfast which is served to small tables in the diningroom and includes home-baked bread, scones, and muffins; fresh fruit; and a hot entree like Belgium waffles.

Each guest room is large and light with fresh flowers and herbal soap. There is a variety of bed sizes. Furnishings are antique, floors are pine, and each room retains the original fireplace (now decorative-only as required by the fire code.) Rooms normally have private baths, but a double room can share a bath with an extra, single room. The owner's golden retriever, Yankee, does not live in, but is available outside for walking and petting. Owner is a runner who operates a B&B on a Maine island in the summer.
