The Gaslight Inn

Bed and Breakfast Inns of North America

The Gaslight Inn

Atlanta, Georgia

Built in 1913 and completely renovated in 1990, this is one of Atlanta's finest Bed and Breakfast Inns. This craftsman styled home has been featured in numerous local and national publications which attest to its world class quality. These include Better Homes and Gardens, Southern Homes, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, as well as The Atlanta Journal and Constitution Magazine.

The Gaslight Inn has also been on several tours including those sponsored by the American Society of Interior Designers, the International Furnishings and Design Association, and the Atlanta Preservation Center.

Equally spectacular is the home's walled garden, showcased on both the Gardens for Connoisseurs Tour sponsored by the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the Fernbank Natural History Museum Garden Tour. Today you may experience the elegance and sophistication of this home which was professionally decorated by the prestigious design firm Pineapple House Interior Design, Incorporated in Atlanta.

The Gaslight Inn offers a variety of accommodations from affordable, elegant rooms to luxurious suites. Some rooms feature exquisite, 18th Century hand-painted furniture, while others offer private decks with garden overlooks, whirlpools and a separate steam bath. Private, detached units are also available. All rooms have private baths and televisions, and include an elaborate continental breakfast prepared by the proprietor, an avid chef published in the magazine Bon Appétit.

Located in the Virginia Highlands neighborhood, the Gaslight Inn is approximately five minutes from the downtown business/convention district and is served by Atlanta's public transportation system.

Within blocks you will discover some of the finest restaurants, shops, theaters and art galleries in Atlanta. The Carter Presidential Library, Fernbank Natural History Museum, the home of "Miss Daisey" from the movie "Driving Miss Daisey," Emory University, Piedmont Park, and the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center are within walking distance.
