Jelley House Country Inn

Rising Sun, Indiana

Re-decorated and refurbished in 1994, Innkeepers Jeff and Jennifer Moore invite you to visit the Jelley House Country Inn. Located on the Ohio River Scenic Route (Route 56), the Jelley House offers five unique guest rooms furnished with antiques and local crafts. Guests are treated to an abundant breakfast, refreshments on the front porch and bikes for touring and exploring historic Rising Sun.

Two blocks away, the Riverfront Park presents a sweeping view of the Ohio River and includes a terraced garden and benches for relaxing. Visit the local antique, craft and collectible shops and board the Rising Sun Trolley as it stops at the Inn on its seasonal weekend schedule. A tour of the Ohio County Historical Museum, home of the 'Hoosier Boy", can be arranged.

Guided canoe and fishing excursions on local creeks and waterways are available with advance reservations. Snow skiing at Perfect North Slopes and hiking or horseback riding at the Versailles State Park are each within a thirty minute car ride. Or if you prefer a less hectic get-away, just enjoy a quiet day in front of the Inn's fireplace or relax on the front porch with a glass of lemonade.
