Built in 1886, Inn at the Park was originally home to Russell Houston, a well-known attorney and president of the L&N railroad. Restored to its former elegance in 1985, the inn has once again become a "Queen" of Old Louisville.
Adjacent to Louisville's Central Park in historic Old Louisville, which boasts the largest collection of Victorian homes in America. It is one of the finest examples of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture extant in the country. Among its many period details are a grand, sweeping staircase, rich hardwood floors, 12 1/2 foot ceilings, twelve working fireplaces and second and third floor balconies.
The inn features rooms with King or Queen beds, some with fireplaces, balconies and whirlpool tubs. All rooms have private, in-room baths, ceiling fans, t.v. and telephone.
