L & N Bed and Breakfast has been restored to its original
beauty with oaken floors, stained glass windows, and antiques. The
100 year old edifice is in downtown Henderson next to Railroad Bridge
that crosses the mighty Ohio River. Four bedrooms are available. The
Innkeepers reside next door.
The bedrooms bear the names of the downtown parks. Audubon
Mill Park bedroom is on the ground floor and includes a
private bath. The room, furnished in cherry, includes a queen size
bed. Audubon Mill has adjoining office complete with computer hookup
for the business person.
Central Park bedroom is upstairs
with a private bath. The double bedroom suite is of the waterfall
style restored to the style of the 50's. The bishop-sleeved curtains
drape the front three windows overlooking Main Street and the Railroad
Bridge. Wicker furniture compliment the decor and add to the comfort
of the guests.
The Sunset Park bedroom is in
the upstairs rear of the home and it has a scenic view of the mighty
Ohio river and the former (but still active) L&N Railroad bridge
and track. The room is decorated in cherry period furniture with queen
bed.
The
Atkinson Park bedroom has twin beds
with adjoining private bath. This upstairs side bedroom has a view of
Main Street and the elevated railroad track. Of course, telephone and
cable TV are in each bedroom.
