A'Etienne's French Inn

he A'Etienne's French Inn is a beautifully restored three bay frame Victorian style Inn which is located just five blocks from the Mississippi river and the French Quarter. It is rested in the historic Faubourg Marigny, a quaint residential neighborhood that boasts traditional New Orleans cuisines and popular venues for Jazz, Latin, Cajun and Contemporary music.

Our French Inn provides the perfect setting in witch to relax and enjoy the Big Easy. Y'all can sit on the front Verandah; witch is surrounded by a beautiful rose garden, while feeling the breezes from the Mississippi River. A private landscaped garden out back is soothing for Y'all as well, a BBQ is available for grilling, or just sitting with tranquility by the rock fountain, or do a little gold fishing in the lovely pond. So come take a break in the shade with us.

A'Etienne's was built in 1891 as a two bedroom family home. Since then it has been beautifully restored and now serves as a four bedroom camel back Victorian Style Bed and Breakfast.

In addition to its character, A'Etienne's was registered into the National Register of Historic Places on December 31, 1974. This was made possible under the Provisions of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966.

A'Etienne's is named after the innkeepers Great grand farther who is the subject of many fascinating stories about the family's French heritage. Etienne bestowed French names upon all ten of his children, one of which was Lucian, Todd's Grandfather, Lucian was a very compassionate and giving person, he was a major influential figure in the life of his grandson. In fact, he was the benefactor of A'Etienne's. His spirit lives on through the generosity of the innkeeper, who has opened his doors to welcome visitors to the Big Easy.

In addition to our deluxe accommodations, A'Etienne's French Inn provides three common rooms, which are welcome to all guests. An abundance of light is a great feature of our sitting room, also has a beautiful Whitmore piano that's been in the innkeepers family for many years. Our breakfast area is an enclosed side gallery with a lot of windows for more great lighting, which opens up to the back yard. And last but not least, our inn has a fully equipped kitchen.

Lucian's Suite has a bedroom with a beautiful four poster queen size bed, along with an antique dresser, armoire, dark wood desk and cable TV. Also a large sitting room with a queen size sofa bed, cable TV and original fireplace mantel, this stately suite is complete with full bath and shower. Lucian's Suite sleeps two to four people.

Elenora's beautiful bedroom has a gorgeous full size Victorian style bed, along with an antique dresser and armoire. It also has cable TV and a full bathroom with shower. Elenora's room is sweet and very charming.

Placide's Room- already a favorite among visitors, this beautiful room houses a dark cherry wood queen size bed, a dresser, a desk, and a antique armoire; It also has cable TV and VCR. A private bathroom with a claw foot tub adds to the " island flavor" of Placide's room.

Eusebe's Room, has a lovely iron queen size bed, antique dresser, cable TV, and fire place mantel, as well as a full bath with shower.

A beautiful continental breakfast is served from 8 am to 11 am.
