On the National Register of Historic Places, Bienvenue House has all the charm you would expect from a gracious southern antebellum home which has been around for 160 years.
The four bedrooms, each with private bath, are presented to you in the traditional elegance of the old South, with various themes (Scarlet, Josephine, Evangeline) which will take you to yesteryear. The private upstairs gallery of the Montgomery room...what a place for that second honeymoon!
Maybe you're here on business in Acadiana, with Lafayette and its bustling economy only 15 to 20 minutes away (a quiet place to spend your evenings)... Or, just planning to wander around St. Martinville and see the Acadian Memorial in the town square depicting the arrival of the exiled Acadians from Nova Scotia. Surely, the old St. Martin of Tours Church has some dreams worth sharing. Avery Island and it's magnificent bird sanctuary, the home of world famous Tabasco pepper sauce (they'll give you a free tour as well as a sample of the wonderful stuff.).
