gardenia, jasmine or ginger. Tour the home built by Jefferson Davis Hughes,
grandson of the city founder, in 1901. We serve an elegant full breakfast using
fine china and sterling silver. Each room has TV and four posted, hand carved
beds. All rooms have private baths, some with bidets. Stroll gardens or walk
to shops, restaurants SLU University and Columbia Theatre. Consider coming
by train, the original restored depot (now Amtrac) is a short walk.
Flying? Hammond Airport is nearby. In town for football or other sports? Strawberry
Stadium within walking distance and soccer fields nearby. Festivals are within
a short driving distance.
