A fine example of mid-nineteenth century Greek Revival Architecture, Ampersand Guest House is located in the neighborly west end of Provincetown, just a short walk from town center. Each of the bedrooms is unique in its layout, creating a range of accomodations from suites of two to three rooms, to shared baths, to private baths. All are furnished in a careful blend of contemporary appointments and restored antiques, many original to the house. There is also a studio apartment that looks out on both the water and the yard.
Continental breakfast is served daily in the large, gracious living room, a gathering place for guests throughout the day and evening. It has a fireplace seating arrangement, a gaming table, and a dining area for relaxing and socializing. And guests have use of the yard as well as a second-story sun deck which commands a view of the harbor and Commercial Street.
You may be looking for a quiet, restful time for meeting new friends, walking or sunbathing on the nearby beaches, and enjoying the singular views of nature around Provincetown. Or you may be seeking the bustle of a resort famous for its shops, restaurants, and active social life. In either case, Ampersand Guest House provides a delightful home base both in season and off.
