Colonial House Inn

n Yarmouthport, on the North Shore of Cape Cod, on a street lined with stately trees, stands the Colonial House Inn. Here the charm of old Cape Cod has been carefully preserved and the tradition of gracious dining and hospitality carried forward. Each of the large guest rooms is individually decorated and furnished with antiques. Each room has its own private bath and a charming view of our grounds and the adjacent historic homes.

In addition to the features of the Main House, in 1986 we renovated the Carriage House. It now offers a conference center and 10 guest rooms, all with a queen size bed. In addition, a living room, TV room, and sun deck are contained within for your enjoyment. Our enclosed widows walk serves as a lovely reading room with a 360 degree view of historic Yarmouthport. Now completed, our new atrium includes a heated year-round swimming pool, Jacuzzi, and a massage therapist is often available for an additional charge. The carriage house guest rooms have the same comfort and charm as the original rooms in our main house. The Hugh S. Clark Conference Center is available for meetings, seminars, weddings, and other social gatherings of up to 150 people. Also on the grounds is our lovely garden area located on the lower green, complete with its own waterfall and fountain.

Dining at the inn is continental, with an elegant yet casual atmosphere. There are three intimate dining rooms; the Oak Room with its rich golden oak tables, the more traditional Colonial Room with hand stenciled walls and fireplace, and the most recent addition, the Common Room, a glass enclosed veranda with its view of the fountain and the Yarmouthport town green.

Our menu is a la carte and offers a wide selection of entrees prepared to order. Cape Cod's fresh seafood forms the basis of our salt air selections, in addition to our beef, poultry, and veal dinners. Our menu is also complimented by daily specials chosen by our chef. We feature an extensive wine cellar, and for your added pleasure, a lounge with full bar where you can enjoy a cocktail and conversation in front of an inviting fireplace.
