lower Hill Farm B&B is unique in its beauty, simplicity and friendly hosts. Our home is a 1790 restored Cape surrounded by organic rambling gardens, marvelous sky and landscapes situated on a twenty acre hillside in Williamsburg, Massachusetts just 15 minutes from Northampton.

Our charming second floor private rooms include a bright bedroom with a Queen size bed, hardwood floors, private bath, sitting room with comfy sofa bed, studio with east window dormer reading nook, full kitchen, east window dormer dining nook and balcony. All windows overlook north, east, and south gardens and hillside views along with the Mount Holyoke range.

Downstairs is a cozy bedroom with Queen size bed, private fireplace, hardwood floors, west windows, private bath and large old mission desk. We invite you to share with us in the enjoyment of our cozy sitting room, which features a large fireplace with eastern wall of windows and door leading out to the fantastic gardens and views.

Our beds are extremely comfortable and our guests always say they sleep like a log. We use only 100% cotton linens. All of our cleaning agents are nontoxic and biodegradable. We are committed to the environment and recycle faithfully.

The two bedrooms are on opposite sides of the house; their adjoining rooms make for an ideal getaway retreat for those seeking privacy in a quaint country setting or family and friends reuniting from all parts of the country or world. There is soundproofing between the floors.

Our organic breakfast is Continental with fresh baked muffins, which may be jazzed up with our own blueberries, fruit salad, juice, tea and fresh ground coffee. All of our ingredients are certified organic including our coffee and tea. We serve breakfast between 8:30 and 9 am in our dining room, which also has a fireplace and double French doors leading out to the gardens.

In order to keep our home quiet and clean we do not wear shoes inside. We ask our guests to bring slippers for their comfort. Northampton and the surrounding hill towns offer a wide variety of entertainment both in artistic and recreational endeavors.
