A multi-stage restoration project was launched in 1996. The interior of the house is now complete and exterior renovations are the priority with a goal to paint the outside in Summer of 2002. The house is surrounded by Victorian-inspired gardens and lies less than one block from a beautiful pond and a town centre that offers excellent dining. Upon
entering the main lobby through double arched doors, you will see a
beautiful staircase leading to Your hosts, Dave Elliott and Daryl Bichel, will take delight in offering suggestions for enjoying all that Boston has to offer - whether it be the arts, historic attractions, fine dining, sports, outdoor activities, or other interests. Taylor House is only a block from excellent restaurants, and lies adjacent to beautiful Jamaica Pond, a natural kettle hole formed by a prehistoric glacier. The pond is enjoyed daily by many residents and tourists using its boathouse and 1.5 mile paved trail for walking and running. For more spectacular beauty, the incredible Arnold Arboretum is only 6 blocks away. In addition to being located in a neighborhood of distinction and great beauty, the Taylor House site offers easy access to attractions through bus and subway transit. Taylor House is located two miles from the Longwood Medical Area, home to many hospitals, research facilities, and educational institutions. The Museum of Fine Arts, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Symphony Hall, and Fenway Park are also in this area. Just beyond that, the Back Bay, Charles River, and Boston Harbor offer beauty, history, unbelievable shopping, and fascinating restaurants. DISTINCTIVE FEATURES
