The Davis Warner Inn

he Davis Warner Inn is located just minutes from downtown Washington, D.C., the Metro and the Capital Beltway. It is ideally suited for business travelers and vacationers to the nation's Capitol.

Built in 1855, this 6,400 square foot historic mansion is the oldest residence in the Takoma Park area. An imposing landmark from the street, the house has eleven bedrooms, four and a half baths, formal living and dining rooms, library, two less formal living rooms, two full kitchens, two laundries, and a woodworking shop. There is a separate, permitted apartment with its own entrance.

We have reserved four of the bedrooms for use by the guests of the Inn. Three share a common bath, one has its own bath with a Jacuzzi. The living room, which has seated nearly 100 people for a wedding, is comfortably furnished and arranged to create three separate conversation areas. The library has an extensive collection of books and videos for your enjoyment.

Start the day off with a full breakfast specially prepared for your enjoyment. Frequent offerings include eggs benedict, waffles, pancakes, or stuffed crepes. Fresh fruit, juices, and low fat cereals and yogurts are also available.

Directions -- From Downtown Washington, D.C. take 13th Street, NW north. 13th Street becomes Piney Branch Road when it crosses Georgia Avenue. Continue 3 miles to University Boulevard. Turn right on University. Turn right on Carroll Avenue (Texaco Station). First house on the right past the church. From the I-495 Beltway exit 29B (University Blvd., Langley Park). Proceed 1.5 miles to Carroll Avenue. Turn right on Carroll Avenue (Texaco Station). First house on the right past the church.
