The twenty-five room Manor was originally a private residence for a
member of the W. R. Grace family. It is currently listed as one of Maryland's
historically significant structures. Each of the eleven guest rooms
has a private bath, five have working fireplaces seven have bay views,
and all have tv/vcr's. All guest rooms have phones and all are air conditioned.
Available for guest's enjoyment on the grounds are ten speed bicycles
and bike tour maps, private beach, 12 acres of manicured lawns, lawn
games, quaint gazebo at waters edge with rockers (to enjoy the stunning
sunsets), plus access to golf, tennis and swimming pool just a short
walk away at the Landing. Great Oak Manor is located one and one half
hours from Washington D.C., Baltimore and Philadelphia by car.
