built in 1830 by one of Maine's many historic sea captain's, this handsome
colonial home was completely renovated in 2002. Situated on over 5 acres
with a peek at Penobscot Bay, Inn Britannia offers the comfort and elegance

the eight guest rooms has its own private bath and is beautifully furnished
with antiques & genuine English decor. Guestrooms are delightfully themed
after some special place in England. Sleep beneath the stars in Sherwood

the premiere room in the inn, the beautiful Windsor Suite! Each room
is awash with the color, history and romance of England!
In
the true English tradition, a full cooked, multi-course breakfast is
served on beautiful English china
with exquisite sterling silver. In the inn's lovely dining room you'll
be greeted each morning with chintz tablecloths, fresh flowers from
the gardens and delectable dishes using fresh eggs & herbs from the
inn's chickens and herb garden. Breakfasts at Inn Britannia are truly

an afternoon tea "al fresco" beneath the garden canopy, or a nice glass

in the early evening. Guests can enjoy at all times the inn's famous
"bottomless" cookie jar, filled to capacity each day with delicious

mornings, and the crackling wood stove in the living room is the perfect

a nonsmoking establishment. While children are welcome, the Inn is
not equipped to care for the special needs of small children. Small
pets are welcomed in the London guestroom only. An additional fee
applies. State lodging tax of 7% will be added to the cost of your
room. All rates are based on double occupancy. For an additional person,
please add $25. We offer wonderful seasonal specials.
