Captain Isaac Merrill Inn & Cafe' is situated
in the heart of the colonial town of Blue Hill, on Blue
Hill Bay. Built in 1830 it was the home of Captain
Isaac Merrill, a Sea Captain who was still sailing at
the age of seventy. The great grandaughter of Captain
Merrill, Jane Hemmerly-Brown and her husband Dan,
renovated the house as an historic landmark. The Inn
has six original working fireplaces, two of them in the
Cafe' which is open to the public for lunch and
dinner.
