Snow Squall Bed and Breakfast

uilt in the early 1850's, the Snow Squall Bed and Breakfast is ideally located on coastal Route 1 in Wiscasset, "The Prettiest Village in Maine", to facilitate your exploration of the midcoast region. We're also within walking distance to some of the finest old sea captains' homes, galleries, antique shops as well as the picturesque harbor.

The Snow Squall B&B is named for a clipper ship that was launched in Cape Elizabeth in 1851 and ran aground near Cape Horn in 1864. The ship's bow section was recently retrieved from its final resting place in the Falkland Islands and is now on display at the Maine Maritime Museum in nearby Bath.

The Snow Squall B&B was designed, renovated, and, landscaped with your comfort in mind to provide a unique Maine experience that combines warm hospitality with a luxurious setting. Our six guestrooms, including two suites, carry the names of clipper ships built in the state of Maine and are accented by fine furnishings and Down East charm.

Every room has a private bath, a queen or king size bed and two have working fireplaces. The two suites are located in the Carriage House and each offer two bedrooms along with private entrances making them ideal for families or friends.

Stroll the grounds along our "garden path" or simply relax in the rockers on our large porch overlooking the gazebo. Enjoy evenings reading or chatting in front of the fire in the den or gathering room. Slumber in one of our elegant rooms and awaken to the aromas of freshly brewed coffee and a full breakfast being prepared in the kitchen to start another day on the scenic coast of Maine.
