est selling cookbook author, Julee Rosso of The Silver Palate Cookbook and her husband Bill Miller have created an exquisite Inn on the shores of Lake Michigan. Wickwood Inn is an exceptional getaway achieving the perfect balance between the intimacy of a bed and breakfast and the privacy of a small hotel. Located in the beautiful village of Saugatuck, Michigan, a quaint resort nestled in the Dunes of Lake Michigan, it is half way between Chicago and Detroit.

Wickwood has been lauded as the Midwest's "favorite" and "most romantic" Inn , a reaction to it's extraordinary decor. Everyday at Wickwood brings about new and delicious surprises beginning with a luxurious breakfast, a continual array of scrumptious snacks, and winding down with Julee's luscious hors d'oeuvres and a tasting of her newly created recipe of the day, as she writes her next cookbook.

Wickwood is filled with just a few of the Miller's favorite things...French and English antiques, oriental rugs, over-stuffed chairs, vases of flowers, candlelight, a library of books, eclectic music, original drawings, oils and sculptures. There's generally a crackling fire in the living room fireplace and an aroma floats through the air from the kitchen. You could spend your time in one of the four common rooms, two gazebos or even out on the large patio with tables, chairs and umbrellas.

A beautiful wreath greets you on the door of your room as you enter your own private haven. No two of the eleven rooms have the same decor ñ one may be themed for a season, may reflect the mood of a favorite region of the world, or could have been inspired by one of the artists we admire. It may be draped in tartan plaids; cabbage roses; country checks; paisley; French toile; or feel like a Adirondack great camp or have an Oriental aesthetic. Each room has cozy featherbeds, with down comforters and loads of plump pillows. Many of the rooms have their own fireplaces and one of them will surely feel like home to you.

Every room has plants and fresh flowers, writing paper, books, a stereo and CD's, international magazines, antique linens, snacks and a bedtime sweet. At our guests' request there are no telephones or televisions in the rooms, but of course they are available in the Inn. Each room has a private bath with luxurious robes and loads of towels of every size, bubble bath and aromatherapy oils. We hope you'll never want to leave! You can even have a massage right in your room. While some guests reserve the same room time and time again, others like to sleep around and experience them all.
