Located at the southern end of the picturesque Mississippi National River and Recreation area, this beautifully restored 19th Century Italianate Victorian home has been placed on the Minnesota Register of Historic places. On the main floor, relax in the library or the living room, both decorated with authentic Victorian antiques. See the stained glass windows and Quesal light fixtures, which complete the authentic look of the home.

All five rooms have private baths and fireplaces and are decorated in charming Victorian style. In the summertime, lounge on the screened-in front porch, or try out the old-fashioned swing, designed for two. And there's no end to things to do in the Red Wing area.

Three championship golf courses are located nearby, including the famous Mississippi National, Frontenac, and the Red Wing Country Club. A beautiful 21-mile bike trail winds its way through the Cannon River Valley from Red Wing to Cannon Falls along what was once a branch line of the old Chicago Great Western Railroad, passing ski resort Welch Village at about the halfway point. Bring your bicycle and store it in our carriage house overnight, if you wish. In the evening, there's the locally famous Shelton Theater, restored to reflect its original design, and featuring plays, concerts, musicals, and other attractions regularly.

A variety of excellent restaurants in the area offer fine dining or pub style fare. The famous St. James Hotel, with its restaurants and shopping arcade is only three short blocks away. If you like the excitement of casino gaming, Red Wing also features Treasure Island Casino, a short drive up river, where nationally famous entertainers are often presented.
