n the same family since 1811, the 470 acre Meramec Farm Bed & Breakfast continues to raise cattle and hay. Just an hour's drive from St. Louis, this beautiful farm is situated on a bend in the Meramec River adjacent to the splendid Vilander Bluffs. You are invited to enjoy the seasons at the farm!

Three bedrooms with shared bath are available in the 112-year-old farmhouse. There are screened porches upstairs and down. A guest cabin built from the farm's cedars offers families and friends additional privacy. The two bedrooms and loft can accommodate 8 people. The cabin has a full kitchen, living area, screened porch, BBQ, heat and air conditioning. Each window offers an exquisite view.

Meals are events which feature fresh baked breads, farm raised fruit, vegetables and meats. On Saturday nights, family style dinner is served. Each day a country breakfast is served. Home-baked treats are ever present.

Miles of trails climbing rugged bluff and wooded hills follow the spring-fed Meramec River. Wildlife abounds! Special rides are planned for guests who bring horses. A 5-acre gravel bar is the destination for folks who fish and swim, tubing and canoeing are relaxing ways to travel. A visit to the farm wouldn't be complete without the popular "cow tour". Guests ride the hay wagon into the herds to see and feed the cattle. "Bale jumping" is a rural sport which appeals to all ages.
