to Zanoni Mill Inn your opportunity to enjoy a magnificent modern
home set beside the remnants of an Ozark pioneer village. Hospitality
starts at the front door and never ends at Zanoni Mill Inn, no matter
how long you stay.
The mills (two burned)
have been powered since Civil War days by the spring still gushing out
of the hillside. The third and present mill is faithfully maintained
by your host, grandson of A.P. "Doc" Morrison, who built it
in 1905. The old country store and post office was operated by Dave's
great-grandfather, and is still used as a local polling place. The old
"Granny House" where Dave's grandparents and various other
relatives have lived, is also still intact and sits just behind the
new home.
Guest accommodations
in this magnificent colonial style home include four oversized rooms
and three baths. Go to sleep with country quiet, and wake to the morning
songs of bluebirds, wrens, and friends.
Mary's country-style
breakfast is the order every day because the home is headquarters of
a 1,750 -acre working ranch, and ranch work requires a big breakfast!
It will fortify you for a day of sight-seeing, fishing, floating, or
visiting nearby tourist attractions. You might have a chance to enjoy
Mary's English
Muffin Bread. Breakfast will be served by the indoor pool if you
prefer.
Staying at home
offers swimming in the 18 by 36 pool, soaking in the hot tub while watching
the big-screen TV, playing ping-pong or pool in the game room, or just
strolling the grounds, breathing sweet country air, and taking pictures.
