Bed and Breakfast Inns of North Americascape the rigors of everyday life and take in the beauty of the Smoky Mountains at the Adger House Bed & Breakfast. Our stately home is nestled in three wooded acres in the heart of historic Waynesville. Spacious rooms, peaceful surroundings, cozy nooks, a well-stocked library, rambling gardens...all await you.

Once a lodging facility for visitors to the Smoky Mountains, the inn's five rooms have private baths and all the creature comforts of home. Adger House is a unique alternative to a hotel. Guests are invited to relax in the parlor, sunroom, and the well-stocked library, or to sit-a-spell outside the inn. Or simply stroll through the yard and catch a glimpse through the towering trees of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

All of the Adger House rooms are uniquely named and furnished, for comfortable lodging and relaxation. When you come for that romantic getaway, anniversary, or to gather with friends or family for a reunion, you'll find all the creature comforts of home. Even the business traveler will be able to stay connected through our wireless access. The tasteful, uncluttered decor of the bed and breakfast is accentuated by 12-foot ceilings and large windows, where you can catch a glimpse of the North Carolina mountains through the trees. A three-course gourmet breakfast and afternoon refreshment are included in your room rate.

Adger House is a short walk or drive to our quaint historic village of Waynesville, with its tree lined, cobble-stoned streets. Browse in the intriguing shops for antiques, books and gifts. Stroll through the art galleries, or savor the cuisine in local restaurants. Take a ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway (about 6 miles from our front door) and enjoy breathtaking views along the way. Or plan a hike/bike on one of the many marked trails on the Parkway, in the Pisgah National Forest, or the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Take a ride on the Smoky Mountain Railroad or spend a day at The Biltmore Estate. Take in a play at our local theatre or be entertained by one of our local jazz or blues groups while sipping fresh brewed tea or coffee from one of our coffee houses.

And if you are searching for a special place to be married, renew your wedding vows, or have a private commitment ceremony, Adger House will work with you to plan your small, intimate event. Come see for yourself what brings visitors to this sanctuary in the Smokies...friendly people, renowned regional culture, indigenous wildlife, imposing mountains, and the lure of a gentler time.
