on the front porch or in front of the parlor fireplace.
The house itself is an architectural delight with some of the
area's finest interior woodwork. The large porches are a beautiful accent to
the mellow old red brick of the exterior. The high ceilings, ornate mantles,
and other architectural details, transport you 
back in time when life had an
elegance and a relaxed quality seldom enjoyed today.
Chestnut Street Inn features eight unique guest rooms (each with a private bathroom). Amenities include satellite TV, XM radio, wireless Internet connection, fine bath amenities, central air conditioning/heating, and award winning chocolates on your pillow. Some rooms also offer a steam shower, gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub and robes, DVD player and movie collection, and/or a private sitting area.
The Inn is only a 1/4-mile walk to downtown Asheville for antiquing, shopping, sightseeing, visiting art galleries, and fine dining. By car, the Biltmore Estate is 2 1/2 miles, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, Folk Art Center, hiking trails, fishing, boating, and shopping malls are all 15 minutes or less.
