The Claddagh Inn

he Claddagh Inn, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, is located on Main Street Hendersonville in the Historic District. Wonderfully appointed guest rooms all have private baths, telephone, A/C and TV. We are only steps away from the shops of charming of downtown, you will find antique shops, a restored soda shop, an Irish Pub and wonderful restaurants­ just to mention a few. If you prefer you can relax in a rocking chair on the wrap around verandah. We are only 5 minutes from the Flat Rock Playhouse, the North Carolina state theater. The Biltmore House, Chimney Rock Park, Carl Sandburg Home, Dupont Forest and Pisgah National Forest are all a short drive away.

Hiking, biking, rafting, golfing, fly fishing - we can arrange it for you. We will be happy to assist in planning your day, including making reservations or packing a picnic lunch. Children are welcome at the Inn. Smoking is permitted on the verandah, however, we regret we cannot accommodate pets.

Early risers enjoy coffee or tea while a three course breakfast is being prepared by Chef Eric McDowell for them. Each day offers a specialty from the kitchen. Lemon Pancakes, Baked Egg Frittatas, Pecan Crusted French Toast top off the daily fare and of course grits are always offered. After a day of hiking, sightseeing or shopping enjoy rocking on the porch while trying out the fresh baked treat of the day.
