rockers are perfect spots to read a good book or laze the morning away!
If guests prefer the sand and surf, verses the tranquil waters of Bogue
Sound, the innkeepers will share the hidden treasures of barrier islands,
only accessible by boat, that offer secluded pristine beaches and incredible
shelling. Hammocks Beach State Park, located 5 miles from the inn, is
rated one of the top 10 beaches of the U.S. The Cape Lookout Lighthouse,
a short drive away, is a favorite spot to find Whelk Shells and have
a picnic on the beach. The waterfront shops of Swansboro and Beaufort
are favorite haunts for antique shoppers. Golfing, boat rentals, horseback
riding on the beach, and sunset sails are other favorite activities.
