he Inn on Mill Creek, located on over seven private acres two miles within North Carolina's Pisgah National Forest, offers the perfect balance of secluded privacy and close proximity to sightseeing,
shops and dining in Black Mountain and Asheville.
Many of the Inn's seven spacious rooms are popular with couples looking to get away for a few days. The 600-square-foot Lake View room in the Main House boasts a full wall of floor-to-ceiling windows for a spectacular view. The Lake View also features a private screened porch to take in the sights and sounds of the forest, a
gas fireplace, king bed and a jetted tub with steam shower.
The North Terrace room in the Main House, with its private entrance through a set of French doors and private room with large jetted hot tub, is another popular choice for a couples' getaway. A four poster queen bed, full bath, gas fireplace and views of the woods and orchard are just some of the features of this beautiful room located on the north side of the Inn.
Our three Lake House rooms have two-person Jacuzzi tubs and gas fireplaces, making them a frequent destination for romantic weekend trips. Additionally, the rooms in the Lake House have direct access to a full
guest kitchen as well as sliding glass doors to a shared deck overlooking our little mountain lake.
At the Inn on Mill Creek, you'll find plenty of space to relax...lounge on one of the decks overlooking the lake or take the paddleboat or canoe out, bring your fishing pole to try your hand at catching one of our elusive trout, take a stroll along the blueberry and blackberry bushes under a canopy of trees on the south lawn, or take
a leisurely walk through our 175-tree orchard, which provides fresh fruit to accent our breakfasts and the seasonal fruit for our "daily house blend" of fresh squeezed juice.
In warm months, a full breakfast is served each morning in the dining solarium, overlooking the National Forest, the lake and the waterfall spilling over the dam constructed by the Southern Railway Company in 1895 to create the water reservoir for Andrews Geyser in nearby Old Fort. In cool weather, enjoy breakfast in the Main House dining area next to a soapstone wood burning stove.
After breakfast, you can do a whole lot of nothing, or head in to Black Mountain or Asheville to do some shopping and dining at one of the 100 local restaurants, embark on a day trip to Chimney Rock, go on one of hundreds of hikes in our area, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, see the Biltmore Estate...the list goes on. The Inn on Mill Creek is centrally located between all of these attractions. With so much to do in our area, it's very easy to find yourself among our many returning guests.
