The Inn was designed in 1900 by Richard Sharp Smith, Supervising Architect
for Biltmore House. Today it is elegantly furnished with English and
American antiques dating from 1730 to 1910.
The Inn has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored to create the inviting
ambience of past splendor and elegance. Classical music, glowing fires,
and the fragrance of roses
Four of our exquisite guestrooms have private en suite baths, Queen
size beds, and fireplaces. All baths have showers. Three baths have
whirlpool baths and one a clawfoot tub.
Zelda's Retreat, our 1000 sq ft. five-room suite features a sitting
room with fireplace and TV, private entrance and balcony, king size
bed, marble bath with whirlpool, fireplace and TV, and a deluxe shower.
We serve a delicious three-course breakfast at 9 a.m. preceded by the
arrival of coffee or tea to your room at 8. Our breakfast consists of
a fruit course, savory egg course and dessert course. For example, you
might have a yogurt, raspberry, banana parfait topped with kiwi fruit
as your fruit course, shirred eggs American style, and for dessert homemade
caramel rolls. With advance notice, we are happy to accommodate all
dietary restrictions.
Relax in the late afternoon or early evening with a complimentary beverage
in the period wicker furniture on our marvelous front porch. The porch
is also the perfect place to sit and read in the comfortable chairs
and rockers.
