lease come and be our guest. Union
Grove is a serene country setting but ever so conveniently located to
all the major North Carolina cities, airports and interstates. Our home
is tastefully decorated with family antiques and our collections from
the past thirty years. We have five rooms
with private baths--one has a Jacuzzi and one has a soaking tub. The
many decks and porches are great places to read a good book, have long
talks or just renew your spirit in the quiet of the nine acres.
There
is so much to do in the area or do nothing at all. That is the beauty
of Madelyn's in the Grove. Madelyn's delicious breakfasts will
start your day just right. A fruit course, an egg dish with all the
accompaniments and a delicious dessert will make this the "you don't
need to do lunch" meal. Also, return in the afternoon to snacks
and then in the evening there is a luscious dessert. The library refrigerator
is stocked with help-yourself soft drinks and juice. Your day will be
started with this great meal then you can decide on what to do for the
day.
Madelyn
has prepared a self-guided tour of the local wineries and vineyards.
Quickly becoming known as the Napa
Valley of the East, there are many vineyards to visit. Union Grove is
known for the bluegrass music and the oldest Fiddler's Convention in
the nation. A music museum will open in 2002 just across the street.
You can go antique shopping or furniture shopping, ride horses, go
gem mining (the largest Emerald found in the Northern hemisphere was
found just 20 minutes away from the B&B).
Madelyn's
in the Grove also has a great place to hold small conferences. We can
serve up to 20 to 25 people with a large room. We can sleep up to 12.
There is so much to do and so little time in just one short weekend.
We have cooking classes (Madelyn is an award winning cook), Murder mystery
weekends, Women getaways and much much more. Just give us a call and
let us know how we can pamper you at Madelyn's in the Grove.
