The Yellow House on Plott Creek Road

his European Inn of casual elegance has a decor favoring the French Impressionists and an accent on fine service in a romantic, intimate setting. The three rooms and four suites each have private baths, fireplaces, refrigerators, and mountain views. Many offer private porches or balconies.

Guests have a choice of a gourmet or spa breakfast served in the dining room, on the front verandah, or bedside. In the evening, the innkeeper hosts a reception for all the guests either on the verandah or by the front room fireplaces. There is a cozy library that offers a wide assortment or reading materials and games.

Standard rooms with queen beds are $125 to $155 per night. Deluxe suites with queen or king beds and either whirlpool or private porch are $190 to $195 per night. Luxury suites are $240 to $250 per night. Rates are based on single or double occupancy. A charge of $20 per person is required for each additional person.

Located above the Lily Pond is a two bedroom cottage with a large fully-equipped kitchen, two fireplaces, and two full bathrooms. The charming house has a picturesque mountain view from most every room. This is the place where families can stay with children under 12 years. This rate is $235 for two people and $30 extra for each additional adult. Children are $15 per day. This cottage sleeps up to eight with comfort.

Hiking, fly-fishing, white water rafting, and golf are very close. Shopping, fine and casual dining, and live theatre are less than ten minutes away in picturesque Waynesville. The Blue Ridge Parkway is seven minutes from our door and the magnificent Biltmore Estate is only 25 minutes away in Asheville. The Smoky Mountain National Park is 30 minutes from the Inn.

The Inn is located 25 miles west of Asheville, North Carolina.; three hours from Atlanta, Georgia; and three hours from Charlotte, North Carolina.
